Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipes

Strawberry-Banana-Pineapple-Avocado Smoothie

My wife loves this thick, creamy smoothie! Here is a list of the ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1 frozen banana (I break my bananas up into pieces and store in a closed plastic container in the freezer)
  • 1/4 cup of crushed canned pineapple
  • 10-12 whole, raw almonds
  • 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 fresh avocado
  • 1/2 cup of soy milk
  • 4 ice cubes
I like to add the soft ingredients first; yogurt, milk, avocado, pineapple, almonds (okay, I know almonds aren't soft) and blend until smooth. I like to taste this mixture to see if I need to add more of anything. I then add the frozen bananas and the ice cubes and blend until smooth and creamy.

This recipe makes two 8 oz. glasses of delicious smoothie! This is thick enough to eat with a spoon. For added flavor sprinkle granola on your smoothie.
